For those families pursuing independent domestic adoption, Lampion Center will work with the family and their private attorney to provide services and support throughout all phases of the adoption process.
We work to prepare families to face the special issues related to adoption, both those that will come up now, and also those that present in the future. This family preparation takes place throughout the legally required home study process.
Once a child is placed in the family’s home, Lampion Center is available to help the family work through any necessary adjustments, provide resources that will be helpful as they encounter unexpected issues, and provide the post-placement supervision required by the court to finalize the adoption.
